Certificate Details
As a Tree Care Technician Certificate program student, you'll learn how to take care of trees typically found along streets, city parks, and private residences. With the growth of green industry, your knowledge of tree growth and health can make you a successful member of a tree care company.

Our program believes in learning by doing. Over fifty percent of your class time will be spent outdoors learning to identify, climb, and care for trees. So be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as you train for an exciting career.

The ACM Tree Care Technician Certificate program has been approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) as a Statewide Designated Program. Maryland residents from counties other than Allegany County who register in this eligible program will be charged the out-of-county tuition rate. However, these students may be eligible to receive reimbursement for a portion of the cost difference between the in-county and out-of-county tuition rates. Funding availability for this program is based on funding from the state of Maryland and is thus subject to change each semester. Some restrictions apply.
