Paralegal Students with TeacherThe Paralegal One-Year Certificate curriculum is designed for the student interested in a career as a paralegal who wishes to solely focus his or her education on the paralegal field. This Program, by its very nature, provides a comprehensive foundation of legal training to help prepare students for entry level paralegal programs.

This Program can be completed as a 100% online program, although traditional classroom classes are available for certain classes.

The paralegal provides a variety of important services in private law firms, banks, insurance companies, corporations, governmental agencies, and offices. Paralegals aid attorneys inpreparing for trials and hearings through administrative support. Job duties may include writing correspondence, drafting legal documents, and assisting with administrative duties.

This is a career program designed to qualify students to seek employment as a legal assistant/paralegal upon completion of the program.

This is a career program and is designed to enable students to seek employment at the program's completion. Successful completion of this program qualifies a student to apply for a Certificate in Paralegal.

As a Paralegal program student, you'll expand your knowledge and gain career training through a variety of challenging courses, including:

    • Information management
    • Correspondence
    • Verbal skills including answering a business office's telephone in a professional manner
  • Computer applications
  • Legal research and writing
  • General legal and office skills
  • Litigation
  • Contract law
  • Real property and title examination
