Being an ACM Allied Health student isn’t easy but our instructors are here to help.
In your experience, what are the “superpowers” that make a great instructor stand
out? Tolerance with students like myself. Patience. They work with us through difficult
times like those of us who work full time, have kids, have households and have significant
others to take care of as well.
Has there been a moment in class or an interaction with an instructor or staff member
that stands out to you? Tell us about it. There really aren't many that stand out in the medical assistant program because my
instructors were helpful in every manner. Everything they do helps us through. Everything
they do is special therefore everything stands out.
What’s been your superpower that’s made you a great Allied Health student? Being a mother has made me a superhero. For again patience, tolerance, helping people,
problem solving.
What’s your favorite piece of technology at school or work? Needles – I like to stick and draw blood. I enjoy that.
What 3 things do you like (or love, we’ll always take love) about the courses in your
major? I love everything about the course, I love lab. I like lecture. I love the new friends
that I have made that are now family.
What experience (or class) at ACM surprised you the most? Clinical lab procedures – the things we had to look at and the things we had to do.
What are your plans after graduation? Work in a specialty office as a medical assistant. I just need to narrow it down to
the one I would enjoy the most.
