Q & A
Being an ACM Allied Health student isn’t easy but our instructors are here to help.
In your experience, what are the “superpowers” that make a great instructor stand
out? Communication.
Has there been a moment in class or an interaction with an instructor or staff member
that stands out to you? Tell us about it. When I/we passed the CMAA – the reaction from Amanda Hoover to the whole class was
good – made her proud that we did well.
What’s been your superpower that’s made you a great Allied Health student? I stayed ahead of the game. I get assignments done and on time.
What’s your favorite piece of technology at school or work? Computers – alone, they can search anything you can think of, endless possibilities
What 3 things do you like (or love, we’ll always take love) about the courses in your
major? Medical terminology, medical coding and billing. All courses correlate with each other-
it makes sense at the end.
What experience (or class) at ACM surprised you the most? Computer software class – I am a non-traditional student. I was at ACM 1998-1999 and
came back now and have lots of new technology.
What are your plans after graduation? Working in private practice after raising my young one. Maintaining my CEU’s to keep
my knowledge fresh and to make my kids and family proud.
