Making the Dean’s List

The Dean’s List indicates academic excellence and perseverance. Very frequently, students who consistently make the Dean’s List also graduate with academic accolades. Over time, we’ve noticed that students who make the Dean’s List tend to share similar time management and study habits.

If you’re interested in achieving this academic honor, we recommend the following strategies:

  • Read and understand your course syllabus.
  • Attend class and do the work.
  • Organize your time efficiently.
  • Limit social interactions when needed.
  • Find a quiet place to do homework and study.
  • Ask for help when you need it.
Sharing the Dean’s List

Dear Parents of Dean’s List Students,

We hope you’re as proud of your ACM student as we are! We encourage you to share an announcement of your student’s achievement with your local paper. Please use the template below, filling in the brackets with your student’s information.

Most papers provide an online form for submitting information. If a form is not provided, we recommend that you email your paper’s education or community reporter or editor. Our Dean’s Lists are updated several weeks following the close of the fall and spring semesters. If your paper requires confirmation of your student’s achievement, please direct them to this page.
