Program Details

The Associate of Science degree in General Studies program develops and expands critical thinking, technology and communication skills – a plus in today’s competitive labor market.

Whether you transfer to a four-year college or university, enroll in an ACM career program or use your degree to move up the career ladder, this program offers a valuable academic degree tailored to your needs.

Working with dedicated instructors, you’ll complete 60 credit hours – the equivalent of your freshman and sophomore years of a four-year college or university – in four or more semesters. You’ll take a large number of elective courses as well as core classes (required general education curriculum) and electives in English, the Humanities, Laboratory Science, Mathematics, Physical Education, Social and Behavioral Science, and Speech.

If you’re a new student and uncertain about your life’s direction, this program offers you time to explore a variety of disciplines. Instead of being an “undecided” or “undeclared” about your major, you’ll have a degree that makes it easier if you decide to transfer.

Because of its flexible nature, the General Studies program is also a strong and affordable option for working students. Whether you apply previous coursework towards your degree or want to explore a career change, you’ll work towards your career goals.
