2020 Virtual Commencement Ceremony

Every graduation is an unforgettable event, but a graduation in 2020 is particularly monumental.

ACM will host a virtual commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020. The ceremony will be livestreamed through ACM’s Facebook page. You do not need a Facebook account to view the event. It will recognize the Spring and Summer 2020 ACM students who are eligible for graduation in a manner that protects the health and safety of students and their loved ones. 


Summer Commencement

Graduation applications must be completed by any student wishing to receive a degree or certificate in Summer 2020.

The Summer 2020 graduation application deadline is Wednesday July 1, 2020.
A $100 late fee will be assessed for each Late Graduation Application received.
No late applications will be accepted after July 15, 2020.

2020 Commencement Photos

Graduate photos for the Summer 2020 virtual commencement ceremony should be sent to

Graduates may submit photographs of themselves, preferably in their cap with tassel and gown but not required, to the college by 4 p.m. on August 5. They may be professionally photographed free of charge on the Cumberland Campus on one of the following days and times:

  • July 16 from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • July 17 from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • July 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • July 27 from 12 to 2 p.m.
  • July 28 from 9 to 11 a.m
  • July 30 from 3 to 6 p.m.
  • August 4 from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • August 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Students who elect to be photographed should report to the Student Lounge located in College Center. They will be required to sign-in and follow the college's health and safety guidelines during their visit to campus to be photographed, including the wearing of a face mask and practicing of social distancing measures. Graduates may remove their masks for taking of the actual photographs which will be held outdoors, weather permitting.



Graduation Honors

Students receiving an associate degree or a certificate under one of the several certificate programs will be graduated Summa Cum Laude if their cumulative grade point average is at least 3.80. Those whose cumulative grade point average is between 3.51 and 3.79, inclusive, will be graduated Magna Cum Laude. Those students whose cumulative grade point average is between 3.30 and 3.50, inclusive, will be graduated Cum Laude.
