Student Tutoring Resources
Students can self-enroll in Student Tutoring Resources by using the Discover tool in Brightspace. To search for Student Tutoring Resources in Discover, from the homepage select 'My Brightspace' and at the bottom of the drop-down menu select 'Discover', using the search bar within Discover type in Student Tutoring Resources and select the magnifying glass or enter, select the course in the search results, from there you will see the course name and a button that requests you to enroll, select enroll and you will be met with a popup message, " Successfully Enrolled. Student Tutoring Resources will soon be available in the My Courses widget", then select the 'Open Course' button to access the course.
Semester study Labs’ schedules, staff schedules and study strategy booklets for the following are available on this site: Coping with Test Anxiety, Critical Thinking, Exam Preparation, Learning Styles, Making the Grade, Notetaking, Reading and Memory and Time Management.
ACM Online Tutoring with ThinkingStorm
On-demand tutoring is available at http://www.thinkingstorm.com/acm for assistance in the following subjects: mathematics through introductory calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, and writing (24 hour return on any writing assignment), environmental science (listed under science). Appointments are required for accounting, anatomy & physiology, microbiology, economics, design software, nursing tutoring, nutrition (listed under Nursing & Health Care), and medical terminology (listed under Pre-Med). Assistance is available seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 4 a.m. (the next day) and some courses have assistance available 24 hours 7 days a week.
Students must enter their name and birth date and then choose the course. The password is acmonlinetutor for all students.
