Q & A
  • Why did you choose your major?
I wanted to pursue a career that would benefit me in the long run. I chose Nursing because I enjoy establishing personal connections with people, and the benefits of the job can help me provide for myself in the future.
  • What made you choose Allegany College of Maryland?
ACM is close to home and I love the small campus atmosphere.
  • How has your experience been at ACM?
My experience at ACM has been surreal; the staff and faculty, as well as the students, have created such a positive experience for me to develop and establish a positive foundation on who I see I can become.
  • Why would you recommend Allegany College of Maryland to future students?
I would recommend ACM because the college is run so well, everybody knows my name, and I feel I have established positive and powerful connections with educators, faculty, and students. The college has an atmosphere that cares about the success of individuals to a degree where everybody can be a support system.
  • Are you working while attending College?
Yes, I currently work on-site within the college’s Cafeteria with Metz Culinary Management and Environmental Services.

  • What motivates you, and why?
My motivation is the constant integrity I carry for myself every day to strive for my own personal success and to leave an environment better than I found it.
  • What are some challenges you did/have encountered as a college student?
Some challenges I have encountered are prioritization and organization of my daily schedule (which can fluctuate), ensuring I am on top of my assignments and managing finances so I can continue to pursue my education.
  • What advice would you give future college students?
Don’t hesitate on the opportunities that the college may bestow upon you, I did not think I could ever make it this far. But belief and steadfast perseverance can be your biggest ally.
  • When did/will you graduate, and what were/are your plans after college?
I will graduate in the Fall of 27, and my plans after college are to work within a magnet hospital or institution so I can continue to catapult my career and education more than I ever dreamed of.
