• Why did you choose your major?  ?
  

  Thomas: Tired of getting laid off as an electrician.
  
  Malloy: Well, during my senior year, I took CCMA classes at CCTE but unfortunately, due to COVID, I never got to finish the classes or take the CCMA test. 

• What made you choose Allegany College of Maryland?
  Thomas: I got an Electro-Mechanical Technology degree from there in 1995.  
  
  Malloy: My dad had talked to Lisa Rocks for me since I was having a really hard time with my classes at Potomac State for pre-nursing.  After I had a meeting with Lisa, she told me that four of my classes from the Career Center would click in with my college schedule.  So, I was able to get 12 credit hours already out of my schedule. 
• How has your experience been at ACM?
  Thomas: It is great and friendly.
  
  Malloy: It has been amazing! If I have any questions about anything in any of my classes, I know that my instructors will be there to help me out.
• Why would you recommend ACM to future students?
  Thomas: The cost and people are willing to help you.  There is also a big need for Medical Assistants and Nurses.
  
  Malloy: I would recommend ACM to the students at the Career Center since there are other programs on campus that have accreditation with the Career Center. If students can get 12 credit hours out of their schedule it would be worth it! I would recommend my program to any future students because all the faculty are always there to help their students.

• What motivates you and why?  
  Thomas: My family. My daughter and I are in the same program.
  
  Malloy: My family motivates me.  After my experience at Potomac State, I was hard on myself, and it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life since I was failing two of my classes.  If it wasn't for them motivating me to go ACM, don't know what I would be doing right now. So, I would have to thank my parents, grandfather, and uncle.
• What advice would you give to future college students?
  Thomas: You can do it!
  
  Malloy: If you know that you are having any trouble in your classes don't be afraid to go to your instructors.
• What do you enjoy most about taking a class with your daughter/father?
  Thomas: Picking on her in class, and hearing all the kids and teachers call me Dad.
  
  Malloy: Spending time with my dad.
